2-10-11 Sweet Treats for our Peeps and Lemony Love Potion

This class was so fun!  The "Love Potion" was very good.  For the people that we love, we made Brownie Bites with Ganache.  We didn't use quite enough spray and flour in our cupcake tins so we kind of had to chisel them out.  But were they ever good!  And the ganache gave them panache!  Then we sprinkled them with fun red and pink Valentine's Day decors, and carefully packed them in decorated boxes to give.

Tried out the new egg separator... realized that the old-fashioned method of transferring from
one shell to the other works much better!  Eli loves the feeling of egg on his hands....NOT!

They loved how we would stick the scraper in, and it would work it's
way up all by itself.  Kind of a science lesson.

2-3-11 Dog Treats for Valentine's Day

Our dog treats class was so popular at Christmas, I decided to do one for Valentine's Day as well.  It was so funny....Isaac kept saying " I made a bone!"  "It's a bone!"  every time he cut one out.  Veda thought he was pretty funny (I think she really needs a younger brother!).    Maybe Anna can loan him out.

Chef Sprouts 2/22/11 French Bread Pizza

This pizza was not made with pizza sauce....garlic butter spread, cheese and chicken.  We did have sauce for dipping, though.  Everyone tried it and most ate it all.

Chef Sprouts 2/15/11 Edible Finger Paint and Lemony Love Potion

Our finger paints turned out very bright!  Note to self:  next time, use milk instead of water (which the recipe called for). We'll have to try this one again so we can eat the leftovers.  They loved the "Love Potion".  It was a pretty pink for valentine's day, even if it was the day after.
